Lara Tarraf is a licensed clinical psychologist with clinical experience across psychiatric, medical, educational, and community mental health settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Balamand and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the American University of Beirut (AUB), combining strong academic training with multidisciplinary clinical exposure.

Lara has worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health environments, including the Psychiatry Department at Mount Lebanon Hospital, where she participated in psychiatric care, clinical assessments, case formulation, and therapeutic interventions within multidisciplinary clinical teams. She also gained experience in the Oncology Department at Mount Lebanon Hospital, providing psychosocial support to oncology, bone marrow transplant, and end-of-life patients while participating in clinical case discussions and psychotherapeutic interviews.

Her experience additionally includes work within specialized educational and psychosocial settings. At Step Together Association, a school supporting children with special needs, she conducted psychological assessments and participated in multidisciplinary interventions alongside speech and occupational therapy teams. She also trained at Amel Association, where she administered psychometric assessments, conducted intake interviews, and supported psychosocial interventions under licensed psychologists’ supervision.

Alongside clinical practice, Lara has been involved in community mental health and volunteer initiatives, including providing Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) interventions through Be Brave Beirut NGO. Her academic and research interests include attachment, culturally adapted psychological assessment, and mental health within Lebanese clinical and social contexts.
