Aya Karaki is a licensed clinical psychologist registered with the Belgian Commission of Psychologists, authorized to practice under the protected title of psychologist in Belgium. She holds a Master’s degree in Adult Clinical Psychology from the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) and a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical and Pathological Psychology from Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (USJ), with a minor in sociology.

Aya is currently pursuing advanced psychodynamic psychotherapy training at Centre Chapelle-aux-Champs in Brussels, a leading academic and clinical center affiliated with UCLouvain. Her clinical orientation is rooted in psychodynamic theory, with a strong focus on understanding unconscious processes, relational patterns, and the emotional meaning of symptoms.

Her clinical and professional experience spans diverse settings in both Lebanon and Belgium, including work with adults and children with neurodevelopmental and severe mental health conditions, such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia. She has worked in specialized day centers, educational and therapeutic environments, and humanitarian and community-based contexts, developing a nuanced and culturally sensitive clinical approach.

Aya works primarily with adults, addressing concerns such as emotional difficulties, relational issues, identity questions, psychological distress, and life transitions. She offers therapy in Arabic, French, and English, and is committed to ethical, reflective, and client-centered practice that respects each individual’s unique psychological experience.
